The 3 common CC mistakes and how to fix them:

Mistake #1: Returning to a flat-footed position after hitting the CC on the side

Fix: Make sure to return to sitting on your heels and stay on your toes when resetting back to center

Mistake #2: Reaching too far away from your body

Fix: When placing your hand down, make sure your shoulder and hand are in as straight of a line as possible to get the most leverage especially since you will be depending on your arm more for CC's

Mistake #3: Over-rotation of the hips

Fix: When you CC to the side, try your best to have your hips in a straight up and down line vs. over rotating so your butt is in the air

*Less Common Mistake #4: Keeping chest up and forward the entire time

Fix: focus on allowing your chest to travel side to side naturally (this could be a style choice but for learning the basic CC, focus on rotating your chest)
