Some Tips for learning the Toprock “Kick” and “Skip”
- Both the “Kick” and the “Skip” add an in between count to the “2 Step” so while practicing, count 1,and,2,and… instead of 1,2,3,4…
- Your Kick or Skip will happen on the odd counts or you can think of kicking the bass sound
- The leg that took a step out is the leg that will kick or skip next
- To add the “Groove”, remember to rock back on the whole counts and reset/rock forward on the WHOLE counts
