Weight changes will teach you how to shift your weight from one to another so you can switch side or change the direction of your footwork.

Tips for the basic breakdance footwork step the "Weight Change":

  • Make sure that the leg that is out comes back to a neutral position on your toes and sitting on heels and not flat footed
  • Change your feet only when the same arm of the leg that is out is on the ground
To conserve energy keep your hands close by you when placing them on the floor
  • Try your best to place your arms and your feet in the same spot they were in when switch from side to side so you don’t move around as much

These tutorials are meant to help spread the knowledge I have been fortunate enough to come across throughout my years of dancing. By no means is this the only way to teach or learn how to dance, but this might be one way that helps someone further understand the art of Breakin'.
